Here’s how to get rid of that annoying “Busy Cursor” bouncing icon next to the mouse pointer in Kubuntu.

(1) Press Alt+F2 to bring up the Run Command dialog box.

(2) Type kcontrol and click Run.

(3) Select “Appearance & Themes” from the left sidebar menu.

(4) Select “Launch Feedback” from the sub-menu.

(5) In the “Busy Cursor” box, select “No Busy Cursor” from the drop down menu.

That’s it! Banished for good!

That is awesome. Thank You. The bouncy icon was driving me NUTS!. The next best thing you could have done would have been to write a first person shooter app so I could kill that bouncing bastard Half-Life Bug style…with authority.

I knew if I temporarily commandeered Tout Riggler you’d come up with an even better, more over-the-top moniker. This one is easily in league with Sudsy Ballantine and Soapy Dertbachs.
